Aloha Quesadillas

IngredientsAloha Quesadillas

  • 2 small flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp. (30 mL) pasta sauce
  • 2 tbsp. (30 mL) chopped ham
  • 2 tbsp. (30 mL) pineapple chunks
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 green onion for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. Lay tortillas on counter; with spoon, spread half of each one with half of the sauce. Sprinkle ham, pineapple and mozzarella on sauce. Fold uncovered half over filling.
  2. Heat skillet over medium heat. Holding both ends, carefully place quesadillas, straight sides together, in skillet. Cook for about 2 minutes or until tortillas are speckled brown on bottom.
  3. Using two spatulas, one under and one on top, turn quesadillas. Cook for 2 minutes longer or until speckled brown underneath and cheese is melted.
  4. If desired garnish with green onion
