IngredientsApple Nut Bars

  • 2 large egg whites
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups chopped tart apples
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk the egg whites, sugar and vanilla for 1-1/2 minutes or until frothy.
  2. Whisk in flour and baking powder until blended. Fold in apples and pecans.
  3. Transfer to a 9-in. square baking pan coated with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Bake at 350° for 22-28 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
