Blackened Alligator

IngredientsBlackened Alligator

  • 1 lb. alligator loin meat
  • 1 ½ tablespoons blackening seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil


  1. Pound alligator with a meat mallet until slightly flattened.
  2. Season using blackening seasoning.
  3. Using a heavy skillet add canola oil, when oil is hot cook alligator for approximately 4 to 5 minutes, turning constantly after the first minute.
  4.  When cooked, drain excess oil.

Serve sliced with Remoulade sauce
