IngredientsChinese Five Spice

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seed, toasted and ground
  • 1 tablespoon ground star anise
  • 1 tablespoon Szechuan peppercorns, toasted and ground

Directions

  1. Mix the spices together
  2. Store in an airtight jar in a cool dry palce.

Makes 5 Tablespoons

Note

MEASURE all ingredients into a clean spice mill or coffee grinder, whether whole or ground, using pre-ground cinnamon as the only exception

We use a Epica electric coffee & spice grinder
