- 1 cup stone ground cornmeal
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg beaten
- 2 1/2 cup milk
- Butter and syrup
- Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Mix together liquid ingredients and stir into the dry ingredients.
- Cook on an ungreased hot griddle.
- Serve hot with butter and syrup
