Easy Peach Cobbler

  • 4 cups peeled, sliced fresh peachesCobbler Peach
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all – purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup boiling water


  1. Preheat oven to 375°
  2. Place peaches in a lightly greased 12 x 8 x 2″ baking dish. Set aside. Cream butter; gradually add three-quarter cup sugar, beating well it medium speed of an electric mixer.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
  4. Stir in milk and vanilla.
  5. Pour batter over peaches.
  6. Combine remaining three-quarter cup sugar and cornstarch; stir in water. Pour mixture over batter, and bake at 375° for 45-50 minutes

Makes eight servings
