- 1 cup olive oil or vegetable oil
- ¼ cup white or cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- Shake all ingredients in a tightly covered container (glass jar with screw on lid).
- Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Shake before serving.
