IngredientsKathy’s Grilled Garlic Bread

  • 1 (1 pound) loaf Italian bread
  • 5 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
  1. Directions
  2. Cut the bread into slices approximately 1/2 inch thick.
  3. In a small bowl, mix butter, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly on the bread slices.
  5. Heat a heavy skillet over med high heat
  6. Place treated side of bread onto skillet and grill until golden brown. Do Not Burn.

If you would like to add cheese place grilled bread on a cookie sheet cover with mozzarella cheese and place in broiler for 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese has melted.
