Marilyn Wheeler’s Mostaccioli with Italian Sausage

  • 1 ½ lb.’s Italian Sausage (mild or hot, it’s up to you) cut in 1 inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 med onion diced
  • 2 small cans tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon oregano
  • 1 box Mostaccioli pasta
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese


In a large skillet melt butter then brown the Italian sausage, drain fat then add onion, tomato sauce, paste, cheese and seasonings.  Cover skillet and simmer ½ hour stirring occasionally.  Prepare Mostaccioli pasta Al Dente per directions on box.

Serve with a salad and garlic bread.
